a Very Cool Sunday

Mom and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean again yesterday. Second time is a blast for that movie--I just sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed all my favorite tiny little moments. Then we went to Trader Joe's to buy groceries. I was in a horribly hyper, silly mood... gesturing with little green banana a la Jack Sparrow. I should be kept out of public places after seeing that movie.
After dropping off the groceries at our respective houses, we went to a birthday dinner for my grandma. Big fun, since I haven't seen my grandparents or my favorite aunt and uncle in a long time. Then, on the way home, we picked up some yarn and knitting needles... I'm learning to knit! I'm making scarves for Cora and I in house colors (Gryffindor for me, Hufflepuff for her)... hers may have to be a christmas present, though, 'cause I wanted to make at least a good portion of mine first so I wouldn't screw up so much on hers.
And when I got home, TearsandTutus showed me the most LOOOOOVELY thing I've seen in a while--the video to Texas' song In Demand. Not only did it turn out to be the same Texas that did Like Lovers (a very good song) but the vid features Alan Rickman. A very sexy Alan Rickman (oh, but is there any other kind, sadly???).... dancing the tango. Oh, alas. That man should not be nearly so sexy as he is. Dancing the tango at a gas station should *really* not be so sexy as it is. But it is. And it is lovely. And I'm probably going to go watch it again.
You know why? Because I don't have work until NOON today!!!! So I get to just hang out for a while. Wheeeee.
