knitting

I thought knitting with two needles could be interesting... now I'm trying to knit with four.

This whole knitting-in-the-round, trying to make socks farce will probably end with me making a pair of brilliant, hideously yellow leg-warmers, then screaming and giving up. But it's fun, for the moment.

What ought to be really interesting is me trying to remember how to purl. maymargaret showed me before she left for Brittany, but I haven't really practiced since then... Hopefully one of those cutesy little "Teach Yourself to Knit!" kiddy books I've got will remind me sufficiently for me to figure it out.

...Damn it, my right contact is shifted off it's proper orientation because of how I had my head tilted and which eye I was looking out of while I was knitting. *Blinks madly*
