rivendellrose | research woes

Decided that going to the library to finish the book research for my Native Northwest Coast art paper would be a more effective use of my time today, leaving the museum visit for tomorrow. Great idea, except I still can't find more than a tiny reference to one of the artists I'm writing on.

He's fecking famous, people! The fact that I'd even heard of him before taking this class should be some sort of indication... but can I find anything significant about him or his work in the library reserves, or the online databases, or anything else that would be acceptable to my prof as citation? No. Preston Singletary is apparently a mass hallucination of the contemporary art world. Despite the fact that we have one of his damned pieces right here in our university museum, I can't seem to find a single fecking article about his work. Grrrrrr.

Fine. I give up. I have my required number of citations, I'll just give background from one of his online biographies, because if I'm not trying to count it for my published citations, that's fine. Still. Not helpful.

...Otherwise, my day's actually going very well. Nice cozy library, very quiet since nobody's around the university today.
