#1 new hated experience: Realizing as I sit down to write the first draft of my art history paper that it's entirely possible I've misunderstood every communication my TA and I have had regarding the works I chose, and that, in fact, I can't compare the two of them for this paper because they're too close in time period.

*Beats. Head. On. Desk. Repeatedly.*

I sent my TA an email. Here's hoping he gets it. Soon.

Paper is due on Tuesday. I have plenty of time to... redo almost everything I've done, including all of the research. o.O

Yeah. Bad things. But... I'll take notes and sketches on another work while I'm at the museum tomorrow, and either way, I'll make do. It's just kind of disconcerting, more than anything else. I was in a bit of shock, earlier, but I'm pretty much resigned to it, now, I guess.

Yeeeah, me too. No email from TA, yet, so I'm just going to the museum today, and planning ahead in case I have to dump half of what I've done.

I just keep reminding myself, "It's only a four page essay."

Did you already write the essay with the other stuff? Or was that the problem: you went to start the essay and realized that you couldn't?

4 pages, written how? Double-spaced?

I'd had my outline and research all done (the outline was even turned in to the TA last week), and then when I sat down to start combining everything into draft form... yup, that was when realization hit.

4 double-spaced, 12 pt font - shouldn't take me all that long to write or anything. And I managed to find another work at the museum, today, that I think I can do an equally interesting comparison with. No big deal, just embarassing that it didn't connect before this, mostly. I've been kind of out of it this quarter, I think...
