rivendellrose | a good weekend with a slightly sour ending

I did indeed get to see the outdoor Two Towers, and it was sooo wonderful to see it one last time on the big-screen, even if that big-screen did happen to be inflatable, and even if I was somewhat horrified to see that the projector was the same as the ones that I use every day at work. Wow. Kind of bizarre, that. Saw some amazing costumes, too--there was an Arwen (of course--ladysonnet!), an Eowyn, Aragorn, Legolas, Witch King (good lord! on stilts and quite creepy-looking!), lots of hobbits, a balrog... oh, it was fun!

DnD today went very well, too--I'm starting to get a better feel for Brat and how she reacts to the world. She's an interesting character, being at once quite innocent (as to other species and such) and very jaded (in that she expects harm from any and all and has very few, if any, morals). I think I'm going to like her a lot--she has a lot of growing to do, and it will be a fun process. I'm looking forward to getting her into interaction with the other characters, hopefully next week. It's sad, though, that Derek won't be able to join us. *Pouts*

Anyway, the weekend was generally very good. However, some distinct unpleasantness has turned up in the RP. I don't really want to go into details here, it being a public place and all. Suffice to say that I would appreciate some openness and honesty, even if they think it will hurt people's feelings, because things come out anyway, and I don't know how the hell they were expecting to avoid it. They're just being cowards about this, avoiding the confrontation when they ought to take responsibility for their own damned decisions. Right now, I'm waiting for some information that will help me make my point. So I'm pissed. I'm cranky, I'm feeling hurt, and I'm anticipating hurt that this is going to cause to someone I care about. I am not a happy kitty right now.
