classes, writing, etc
Jan. 4th, 2006 02:36 pmWhat to say, what to say?
Classes are going well and I like my professors, but I'm still definitely having trouble with the 8:30-in-the-morning thing. I overslept this morning, to the point that I was late to statistics lecture. Fortunately, I didn't seem to've missed much. And so far it looks like once I remember my basic math functions, this class should be relatively easy. Now, if only I could get into my head that the amount of food that seems reasonable at 10pm when I make my lunch does not match up to the amount of food I want to eat during the actual day...
I'm still stymied on my writing. All of it, it seems. I'm scratching the surface of the development phase for a new piece of original work, with cautious hopes that I'll actually be able to make it go somewhere, but I feel like my head is beating against a wall when it comes to fic. Which, hell - if I felt like I was in a place where I could just start pounding away at the original piece, that'd be fine. As it is, though... it's frustrating. Hopefully that whole thing will get better once my academic stuff settles into a better routine, or something.
Anyway, back to course readings!

Date: 2006-01-05 06:17 am (UTC)How much earlier is "earlier"? Cora, Kari and I are starting a little exercise thingy for the three of us on Saturday mornings at 10, and we'd planned on starting this week. We could probably move it around, for this week, if we needed to, though...

I'm so excited, the sci-fi channel is doing a Fire-Fly Marathon Friday! Grandma and Granpa have a DVR, so they are going to record all 12 eps for me while I'm at work, then we'll put them on tapes. I wish they had a way to put them on DVD's, but, oh well, at least I'll have them. YAY!

Date: 2006-01-05 06:20 pm (UTC)I saw the thing about the marathon, that's awesome! You'll still be out three eps (The Message, Trash, and Heart of Gold), because they're counting Serenity (the pilot) as two episodes, but at least you'll have the others!
