Odd subject for me to be on about, isn't it? But, nekokoban and sjen, theladyfeylene, as well as other folks who are just plain interested in cool graphic designs, video games, etc... I just have to share this.

Apparently, as part of the promotion for the new Silent Hill movie, the company is having a contest for the design of the poster, and my lj-friend differedfrom has entered this lovely piece! So... I just have to share, for the purposes of saying "damn, that's a nice poster," and also to suggest that people take a peek and vote for the best poster!

I tried to get to the other entries, but couldn't seem to find the right link - didn't want to poke too far since going to the main site required loading a new Macromedia Flash thing onto my computer, and I'm at work.

It will be interesting! I love this sort of thing. Now if only I didn't know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will never be able to see this movie...

Just so you know, the folks running the site haven't updated it yet, so the only way to navigate the different posters is to change the URL of the page in your browser. The number at the end is the only thing that needs to change; it starts at 1 and goes up from there. I've looked through about 300 now, and I hear there are over 2000. Some aren't there at all, some are funny, some are just bad, and a few are really good. Unfortunately, I found at least 3 already that are a lot like mine, and another one that's a lot like one I was thinking of posting... oh well.

That's... wow, that's random. Really kind of makes you wonder about some of the posters, doesn't it?

Eh, even if you don't win it's a pretty nifty thing to be involved in, not to mention a cool idea on their part, to begin with!

I know, I so will never be able to see it! The games were entertaining, but there's no way I'd survive a movie with my sanity intact.

Speaking of movies, have you seen Goblet of Fire yet? I was thinking of going to see it before it leaves the Varsity tonight, but if you're still wanting to see it maybe we can go together on a different day?
