This morning, I spontaneously woke up at about 8am (which is a miracle in and of itself, for me), with a single thought in my mind - "remember that dream!" I'm fairly used to that sort of imperative first thing, so my semi-conscious mind grabbed blindly for whatever it could reach as the night went rushing past me... and then I looked at what I was left with. In order, those bits were:

1. A very loose retelling of some aspects of Arthurian legend, set, apparently, in late 70's western Washington. A bunch of siblings, named after the heroes of legend, die or disappear under bizarre circumstances.

2. A vivid mental image of one of the brothers. If Bast!Gackt had butt-length straight hair? This'd be him. Apparently, he's the one who lived through this but disappeared. His name, ironically, was Baldr. I suspect that my brain just got distracted while trying to think of the name "Bast." More vague image of another one wearing a letterman's jacket. No shit.

3. An image of 'Lancelot' informing me, "There's a statue out on Fauntleroy. The fat woman in green?" *Chagrined, annoyed face* "That's me." Which completely lost me whatever remaining chances I had of making sense of all of this, because I immediately thought of "Lancelot"'s song from Spamalot.

I'm sure that when I was asleep this whole thing was very deep and significant. That's how dreams work. But considering the bits I remember... yeah.

There was also a bit about being lost trying to find a bus home, which sort of happened last night. Except in my dream it happened in Renton, which'd be a billion times worse since very few buses go anywhere in Renton, especially at night.

~ * ~

Last night, we ate fabulous food, had good conversation, drank wine and ate ice cream last night, then watched the end of Love Actually, which we'd apparently forgotten to make [livejournal.com profile] ratzeo watch until [livejournal.com profile] miss_arel thought of it last night. Bad us. We're clearly horrible friends. *Loves that movie beyond belief*

And if we thought that movie had everyone in it, before, now we've noticed that Chiwe... Chi... The Operative? He plays Kiera Knightley's new husband. Fecking broke my poor little brain, especially in that shiny plasticky coat he's wearing at the end of the movie. o_O

Whoa, what a dream.
Sounds like quite a night, glad you guys all had fun.
Hmmm, yeah, trying to find a bus home at night, in Renton is not a fun thing.
I'll have to watch "Love Actually" again, I remember thinking the guy she ends up with is really cute, but of course had not seen the series or the movie yet so did not make the connection. That movie really did have so many good people in it.

Every time I watch the movie, I'm fascinated all over again by how they manage to have sooooo many of my favorite actors in one place. I mean, honestly - Liam Neeson, Alan Rickman, and Colin Firth? :D

Blargh, I'm sorry! We can watch it again sometime - Sean and Jessi watched most of it before Terra and I got home, so I want to see it again really soon. :D

I KNOW!!! I screamed. Jessi and Sean thought it was hilarious...
