a lovely day
Aug. 24th, 2003 11:32 pmSpent the day with the DnD crew, happily engrossed in our new campaign. I'm still finding my feet with my new character, trying to find her voice and the way she thinks about things. Some of what I did and said today felt off... I need to write for her, maybe, to cement her in my mind. That will be fun... her background is highly entertaining. Many thanks, again, must go to Cora for helping me with the concept, and to Derek, for helping me with the process of filling out the character sheet and all. Someday, I will actually get the DnD system down...
Had take-out Chinese food after the game, and watched Chicago. Have I mentioned how much I love that movie? Richard Gere rocks my world, of course, and Queen Latifah is just plain sexy. The dancing, the music... god, I love it all.
Came home, then, to a bunch of posting on the RPG, and, in between posts, read some lovely fanfic by TheLadyFeylene. I'm feeling very sappy and impassioned right now--better go write my last post of the night before the mood passes, and then off to bed, I think. I'm entirely too sleepy for my own good.

Date: 2003-08-25 08:36 am (UTC)My favorite part about rpg's has been making the characters. Before they get into scraps or have to deal with whatever is wrong with the world, they're just these wild, freshly formed personalities. Have fun in your game!!! Is it 3rd ed you're playing? I was in a game of 3rd ed, with a Shadowdancer. I hope it picks up again soon.

Date: 2003-08-25 10:14 am (UTC)The formation of personalities and character ideas is a total blast for me--it's pigeon-holing all that into the system and working with all the numbers and bits that kind of irks me sometimes.
Hope your game picks up again soon!
