stress gone, brain go bye bye
Mar. 15th, 2006 12:20 pmI knew this was going to happen.
coramegan, I'm sorry, but it looks like your birthday fic is going to take me longer than I'd expected. I'm having a moment of complete writing panic now that my stupid fecking finals are over - I can't seem to write Zoe properly, all of a sudden. As usual, as soon as I actually have time to write, other things start going wrong. :P
There are plenty of other things that want to be written, too, as well as icons to be made, books to be read... it's going to be a productive Spring Break if I can just get my head in gear and working properly.
Reading list so far:
Equal Rites, Terry Pratchett
The Telling, Ursula K. Le Guin
Going Postal, Terry Pratchett
A Short History of Nearly Everything, Bob Bryson
A People's History of the Civil War, David Williams
At least one of those dratted "Daily Life" books that I'm always trying to find.
For those who haven't heard me go on about them, that last is referring to either this series of books, or the "Writer's Guide to Everyday Life" series. I loooove these books. They aren't necessarily the most intellectual way of doing research, but damn are they useful. I own only one of them, but I'm always digging through used bookstores searching for more, because they're not sold new at any bookstore I can find. The ones I want, of course, are damned expensive on Amazon. *Grumbles* So I end up checking them out from the UW libraries constantly.
