Eh, the worst of it was trying to get the border right - that took a long time. Everything else wasn't actually all that bad, just a lot of fiddling with colors and settings and textures.

Glad you liked them! I'm hoping to do a few more on the "Wicked" theme, as well as just plain more icons in general, now that I can actually make cool ones... but we'll see how much time I have. ;)

Yay! And yes, it was - I ended up not using the shadow brush, and I'm still working on getting the hang of the unsharp mask, but it's good stuff. Thanks for linking to it!

Yeah, tutorials like that are nice more because they give you new ideas for your own stuff than because you can make the same icon as in the tutorial.
