Many thanks to wanderingbeyond for snapping this pic of Theoden as she was on the way out the door the other day, and especially for sending it on to me.





Still feeling vaguely sore-throat-y, but otherwise mostly good. I think making myself a bit of ultra-quick mulled wine and going to bed early last night helped.

I don't know about awesome, but it's definitely geeky. ;) He was named Jupiter when I got him from the Humane Society, but I wanted something a little bit more personal but that still had the royal connotations, 'cause he very much has a "ah, yes, you will serve me now" sort of attitude. And despite my username, the Rohirrim are totally my favorite people in Middle Earth. So it seemed like a natural choice. ;)

It's just so much more interesting to name an animal after something that has a lot of personal significance - the other options for Theo were stuff like "Pumpkin," or "Leo" and everybody knows an orange cat named something like that.

I know, the feet are totally the best part. And he's warming up to the new chair already, by the way. He walked circles around it last night, sniffing and acting like he thought it was going to eat him, but this morning he was already laying on it. XD
