I kind of like the sick sense of accomplishment that comes from spending all evening on one thing. Just so long as it works out right in the end. It's not perfect, but I'm happy.

Well, the boxes and swirls are just brushes - hell, the 2 boxes and most of the swirls were just one brush. I'm not good enough (by a long shot) to do that by hand with the mouse. ;)

I wasn't even meaning to, to start out. I was just looking for something to do with the loads of empty space I'd given myself, because the text I'd originally wanted just didn't quite do it for me, once I saw it. And then I looooved the way the brush with the two boxes looked, and the way it kind of highlighted the relationship between them... and at that point I became obsessed with making it work.

Besides, I'd seen it done in an icon somewhere, and it always drove me nuts that I couldn't make manage to do it. So I just had to try.
