ah, the joys of city-living

Soooo..... our tap water smells like fish tank.
Which wouldn't be a problem (we use a filter for drinking water)... except the purified water smells (and, I'm told, TASTES) just as bad.
Emily says she hasn't noticed it in her coffee or other stuff made with boiled water... I'm just a spaz, apparently, since I sort of noticed but just discounted it. So, yeah. I'll be drinking a lot of juice and milk until we get this solved.
Chris, unfortunately, is in Europe--he's the contact-people-about-things guy in this house. But Em says she'll call the city about the water service, probably tomorrow.
Any thoughts from my fellow Seattle-ites out there?

Date: 2003-09-10 01:00 am (UTC)water (should be yummy, not fishy)
Date: 2003-09-10 06:54 am (UTC)send me packing to the store for drinking water.
Safeway sells it by the gallon (less plastic used if you buy it that way instead of the little bottles) for about 59 cents. Since we are maybe getting together this weekend or sometime this week, I will bring you up some for all, so that you folks don't have to lug if from the stores.
Have a great day, and I'll talk to ya soon.
Love ya! Mom
