That's odd. I just got a call again from one of those mystery numbers that dialed me last year, and when I checked the prefix against an online directory, it turns out the number is in Bothell. No message, though, so... maybe it's just some poor sap with a friend who has a number really really close to mine. Who s/he only tries to call about once a year?

Anyhow, if you're calling me from Bothell and I don't already have you in my address book... umm... leave a message, so that I know who you are next time. :P Not that I much think it's any of you, it's just kind of... perplexing.

I've had my number for about three years now, and still get calls all the time I don't recognize. If I don't recognize, I don't pick up. If they don't leave a message, I figure it wasn't important/aimed at me.

Cell phone numbers, especially, tend to get recycled quickly. But otherwise, probably just a finger fumble, and they don't realize it until your voice mail picks up :)

That's what I figure, too. That was why I tagged the number (and another one, from someplace totally crazy) when I originally got calls from them. They're in my address book as A and B, so that I know them when I see them, and don't spend time worrying about "who's calling me?" But when I noticed this one was a 425... I did get a little curious, since I know so many people in that area code.

*Nods* I had some guy call my cell while I was at work the other day. Bastard didn't even have the grace to say "oh, sorry," when I told him he had the wrong number.
