This week:
1) What was the bravest thing you have every done?
Audition for musicals, particularly the ones that required dancing audition as well as singing. I've had nightmares about auditions that required tapdancing.
2) Describe the meanest thing you have ever done.
I don't usually do mean things so much as say them. I have a very sharp (and uncontrolled) tongue when I'm in a bad mood.
3) Tell us about the nicest thing anything anyone has done for you.
I hate the "-est" questions, I always feel like I'm forgetting something with them. But the nicest thing anybody's ever done is put up with me when I'm in one of my really horrible moods, and still love me afterward.
4) What was the most insane thing you have ever witnessed or done?
You mean other than the moron frat boys who'd streak through lecture halls? Honestly, my life is pretty tame. I need to do more interesting, wild things.
5) Describe the most "out of character" thing you secretly want to do.
Every now and then I get these insane urges to join the Peace Corps and go to... I don't know, Romania. Someplace cold, because I'd die inside of a week in any of the hot places they serve. But it's tempting.
1. Who was your first kiss (your mom does not count)?
This somewhat random guy from... Holland? He worked with me at my first job, anyway, and we went on a date.
2. What is your idea of the perfect date?
A long walk around someplace interesting (whether a hike, the zoo, or downtown), a picnic style lunch or small cafe, and maybe dancing. I like dates where I can talk to the person for most of the time we're together - movies and stuff like that are for later on, when I already know the person.
3. What music needs to be on when you are “getting your thang on”?
Needs? Nothing. Prefer? Depends on my mood.
4. What is the most amazing experience you’ve ever shared with a partner?
Cheesy, but one of my ex-boyfriends and I went camping with my family. My favorite memories of us are from that trip - we wandered the beach, watched the stars, saw phosphorescent plankton (the NW equivalent of fireflies, for those lucky enough to know where and how to look for them), read back to back by the campfire, and he gave me a piggy-back ride back to our campsite when my shoes got soaked, so that I didn't have to walk barefoot on the long gravel road.
5. Sex is best saved for: love, marriage, alcohol, days that end in “y”?
Love. Which is why I haven't.
1. What is the one outfit/piece of clothing/accessory you own that makes you feel incredibly good whenever you wear it? Why?
There's this tan seude-look top with a cowl style neckline and rust and gold roses all over it. It's skin-tight, and the brown matches perfectly to the color of my favorite pair of cordouroy pants. That outfit makes me happy because it fits like a glove, and the colors are perfect for me - earthy, rich tones that warm me right up. As for accessories, it's a tie between the amber pendant my mom bought me a few years ago, and the sapphire and diamond pendant my dad bought for my graduation.
2. What do you do to make yourself feel better when you're in a funk?
Take a walk outside. It almost always works - I can't really be happy unless I'm out in trees and weather and fresh air on a regular basis.
3. Has anyone ever surprised you in a way that let you know you were special? How?
Alll the time, and with little things that would sound totally idiotic if I listed them out. The most frequent culprit on this one was
theladyfeylene, who was unreasonably wonderful while we were together, and to whom I didn't express my appreciation nearly enough at the time.
4. When you are having a "good day," how do you spread the happiness to others?
Little kindnesses - smiling and chatting with the people I run into on a daily basis, especially people who are working or just randomly on the bus or something. Just the usual day-to-day stuff.
5. What is one thing that puts you in a bad mood, no matter how good you were previously feeling?
...Hormones? Umm, no. Actually, I get insanely depressed about being 'alone.' Any time I think about that, I'm risking a funk. It's not that I'm not happy alone, exactly... it's just that I miss having someone special.

Date: 2006-08-11 11:25 pm (UTC)Proof that I am at work too much:
I read about the kiss from the guy from "Holland" and my brain translated it to "Holland America Cruise Line".

Date: 2006-08-11 11:39 pm (UTC)It was always the big lecture hall classes. Happened at least twice that I can think of. I missed it both times, just heard the aftermath and looked up, confused. Hard to see things like that from the projection booth.

Date: 2006-08-12 12:03 am (UTC)My first non-stagey kiss was with my current boyfriend when I was half asleep after Pirates of the Caribbean 2... in my drive way and I kind of wandered into my house without really saying anything afterwards, thus making my bf think I hated him or something...
Heh, good answer.
