Huh, I thought they would jump on making DS9 movies...I admit I've only ever seen TNG (not even the Orignial ST)so I don't know how good DS9 was but I know of a lot of people loved it.
Matt Damon? Wow just wow. I would never thought of Damon for Kirk or any ST character, which your right it could be a disaster or the best casting decison ever. I haven't seen him in a lot of things either (arg, I'm just so misinformed! And pathetic.) so I can't say anything really about his acting.
