I've heard good things about DS9 as well, and I'd like to see it; but as I understand it, even though it was beloved by its fans, it never had the same kind of following the original series of TNG did.
XD Matt Damon is, I think, a pretty good actor in his own right: The Bourne Identity, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Dogma are all good Damon-flicks. I've also heard good things about Good Will Hunting, though I never saw it.
His buddy Ben Affleck, though, seems capable of acting only when co-starring with Damon.
