test scores, work, and havarti
Oct. 14th, 2003 10:39 pmI got my score back from the Oceanography test yesterday! I got four questions wrong--a 90%! Which would be fully acceptable and happy, even if the crazy prof didn't make an 80% equal a 4.0. Which he did. So I'm very pleased. However, there were still plenty of stupid bastards bitching about their grades... I wanted to hurt them. Seriously, this class is way too easy for these morons to be whining and fussing about it. All this easy stuff, and he's still giving us 30 points of extra credit opportunities within the next two weeks. Anybody who can't get a passing grade in this class would have to *try* to fuck up, I swear.
Of course, this only means that I'm more determined than ever to 4.0 the class. ;) And, with luck, the next test.
I ate a bunch of havarti today... Cora brought it home from a luncheon thing for her new tutoring job. Yummy havarti. And grapes. And a few strawberries. Mmm...
And I had lots of work today, which was nice. And another job tomorrow. So yay. I'm feeling much better about the whole money thing right now... probably not good as it probably means I'll get complacent and not work to find another job. *Scolds self* Oh, and Dora lent me a bunch of her CDs, so I have new music to listen to--yay!
I'm setting my alarm back five minutes so I can get up at 8:55 tomorrow. I like being awake at the moment my birthday goes into effect.
I should go work on my linguistics reading, now, so that I can do the homework tomorrow... and I have to find the homework from last week, which the prof said she wasn't collecting and then today announced that she wanted. Argh. I don't know where the damned thing got itself to, but I really hope I can find it. I get the feeling that I'll need the points in this class. I still like it... but it's well on its way toward kicking my ass, I think. Not that I wasn't expecting that... but still.
