general update
Nov. 2nd, 2006 12:19 pmCurrent NaNoWriMo count: 1,695 words.
Current NaNoWriMo feeling: Pretty good, actually. The plot's still really shaky, but I haven't even really gotten to it yet, so I have time. I think I did an okay job of setting up the basics of the setting and background, and three of the major characters last night. I like my viewpoint character, though it occurs to me that I perhaps should be writing in first person. I never think of first person initially, even though I keep thinking how I'd like to try it.
My stomach has been mad at me on and off the last few days - am beginning to wonder whether it's a mild sickness, mild food poisoning, or if I've just managed to keep eating things that upset my system. Odd, but not impossible. I might give a try at changing my recent food habits today, as a test. As much as I can, anyway.
I just finished rereading Mort by Terry Pratchett yesterday (it seemed appropriate for the holiday), and am now working my way through Maskerade for the second time. It's nice rereading these books now that I know the series as a whole better - I originally read both of them veeeery early in my Discworld experience. I'd really like to reread Lords and Ladies and Reaper Man soon, too. And finish the Watch books, of course, since I still have a few of those that I haven't gotten to. ;)
