new music!
Nov. 5th, 2006 01:39 pmThis morning,
miss_arel and I zipped out nice and early down to U-Village, so that she could meet up with her group for a project, and so that I could spend the Barnes & Noble gift-card my uncle gave me. So what did I get with it? Did I buy useful, intellectual books? Or even a pile of novels to read? Nope. I usually wait on books until I've read them at the library, or at least buy them from used book stores. So what do I buy? CDs!
I am now the proud owner of Avenue Q, Sting's new Songs from the Labyrinth, and the Firefly soundtrack. So very happy. An odd mix, admittedly - the Tony-winning twenty-something's version of Sesame Street, 16th century songs performed by a 20th/21st century rock/pop star... and the soundtrack for a sci-fi/wastern. Yay!
And later there will be V for Vendetta in honor of Guy Fawkes Day... oh, and writing, too. Wheee.

Date: 2006-11-05 11:54 pm (UTC)Are you and the roomies doing your traditional Thanksgiving there at your house? Wanted to invite you to ours if your not, but certainly don't want to step on the toes of tradition! ;D
Let me know how you like V for Vendetta, ok?

Date: 2006-11-06 04:40 am (UTC)No, we're splitting up some this year - Kendra's going home, and Jessie and Terra are hanging out with Kari and her family. So I'm free to do the family thing this year.
I liked it a lot! Very good movie, and Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman were both wonderful.
