Finally took the time to get the software for my digital camera uploaded... so you lot get to be subjected to cute pictures of my cat. What else am I going to take pictures of the instant I get a camera?




Isn't he adorably kingy? By which I mean royal, but... lookit. Kingy kitty! And a cute Terra, too.


Kitty says, 'Please don't fuzzle the belly.' To which, as always, Jessie says 'Fuzzle the belly!!!'


Jessie displays Theo's tolerance of the upside-down position, while Terra's fingers show off his pretty cheek fuzz.


There will be pictures of things other than my cat later, I promise. He's just such a camera-whore, it's hard not to indulge a little. XD

He is kind of an immense beastie... I always forget 'til I see pictures of him, and then it's kind of like "holy hell... my cat is huge."

And thank you! I think he's the prettiest cat ever, but I recognize that I'm a teensy bit biased. ;)

Theo is so precious. He looks like he's trying to maintain his dignity even as he's being turned upside-down and 'fuzzled' on the tummy. I miss cats. -___-

Heeeeee, thank you! ♥ He's very much conscious of his dignity... as much as he frequently kills it by doing silly things. And I totally know how you feel - I was in cat-withdrawals all the way til we moved to the house so I could get Theo.

Yes! And I'm told Finny's coming out here before Spring Break, so I'll finally get to meet him. I told Jessie to have him make you come, too, but he said you'd already bought your tickets home. D:

Oh, well then it must be the fluffiness... 'cause Tam Lin is actually 16 1/2 pounds, but he's not as fluffly I think.

Hell yes - I swear I gained muscle tone after I got him, just from having to lug him around all the time. ;)

Pretty good! Went out for drinks with one of the housemates and a friend I don't see all that often, and then picked up sweets and came home and watched some nostalgic TV. And now I'm listening to sappy music and heading toward working on my writing.

I had a similar evening. I was sleeping in front of the TV when Kessler and Eric dragged me out to Feierabend for dinner. We said snarky things about Valentine's Day all evening (though Kessler has a girlfriend who has the flu) and I had a half-liter of delicious Kolsch. Then I came home and apparently went directly from posting on your lj back to sleeping in front of the tv, because I just woke up in front of Dora the Explorer. Not too shabby.

Did it switch the time zones again? Damned stupid LJ... every time I reset it to PST, it's fine for a few months and then dies again and starts saying it's 4am or something. Argh.

He is so handsome! But does he cover your house in long fur? Loki is just starting to shed and it bugs me, even though it's short hair. I think Loki will be handsome too but I'm probably biased hehe.

Did you get Theoden neutered? Was his personality any different afterwards? We need to get Loki done and I am afraid he will turn boring. The vet says he'll just be less bitey, which is good, but I don't know...

Thanks! He's not too bad about the shedding, actually - we have a lot of hair in our house, but I think the three long-haired (and two medium-haired) humans probably account for more of it than he does. At least he doesn't clog the shower drains. ;)

I did - it's a requirement for adoption from shelters around here, so I didn't have a choice, but I'd have gone for it anyway. Male cats who are neutered tend to have more mellow personalities, less aggression, fewer territorial issues (which means less spraying, which you definitely want to avoid), and also, very important, fewer health problems. How old is Loki? If you don't have any other cats in the house and you keep him inside, you could probably put off getting him neutered for a while, just to make sure he reaches his full size potential. But I highly recommend neutering. Theo's a mellow, friendly cat, but he's still very energetic and playful, even well into his adult years.
