of responsibilites
Nov. 8th, 2003 10:43 pmI've updated my account on NaNoWriMo, formerly untouched since I restarted it two months ago, saying that I would do it again this year. And I put in the word count for the few pages I wrote in the back of my notebook in class - 793 words.
That's it so far. But I consider this a vow of sorts - I really will *try* to do this. I'm not swearing I'll make it to 50,000 - I'm a lot more busy this year than I was last year, and I don't think I can make that sort of promise to myself. But I'm going to work on it, damn it. It's a good idea, and I'm going to work with it.
Unfortunately, my computer is against me - she's decided that she doesn't like Word, and she freezes any time I try to open it. Fine. So I will write in Notepad on the computer, and on paper at work, if I can't find enough time when I'm at home. I certainly spend enough time sitting around at work, most days.
I also posted - a real, in depth, thought out post - for Hermione, for the first time in a good while. I've been too distracted by the new RP lately, and I need to get my butt back in gear with Memento Mori. I was entrusted with partial control of this thing, and I've not been paying it the attention I should, for all the love and work that we've all put in it. I owe TearsAndTutus a lot of thanks for the talk we had tonight - it really reminded me of how much MM matters to me, and to all of us.
Finally, I saw "Love Actually" last night with a bunch of my friends - absolutely hilarious, wonderful movie. I won't talk too much about it since I know a lot of people are meaning to see it and haven't gotten the chance yet, but I will say that I was totally blown away by the cast, and that I walked away remember why I love so many of the actors in that movie. It was terrific.
