The trip north was kind of nuts, but I had fun with the grandparents, so that's what matters. And I'm most of the way through my last week at the bookstore... which is just insane, as far as I'm concerned. Definitely hitting the "terrified" part of my changeover to the new job. o_O
Also, my cat is yelling at me. Not much else to report, other than that I a) need to do laundry and b) desperately hate American Apparel. They suck. Largely because they are the only place on the Ave that I could think of that would sell underwear that would actually fit me and not look hideous, but when I tossed aside all my moral compunctions about their icky sleaziness, it turned out that they sell panties for $12.50 a pair. So, they're not only the most skeevy supposedly-socially-enlightened establishment in the world, but also obscenely over-priced. Yuck.
Susan (the new computer) says hello, too... at least that's what I'm pretending the ongoing fan-noise is saying. ;)

Date: 2007-05-23 07:06 am (UTC)Yup, I'm working Saturday and Sunday this week - I probably didn't have to, exactly, but I said I would since I wanted to give them my full 2 weeks. Thankfully, Cobalt has Monday off as a holiday, so I get a one-day break before starting in at the new job. ;)

Date: 2007-05-24 07:41 am (UTC)We're trying to go on Friday night, though we haven't figured out when or where yet. The costume... well, most of it's figured out, now. I had a little makeup crisis the other night, when one of the tan-look makeups I bought decided to make me into the Oompa-Loompa queen, but the other one worked out just fine, thankfully.
I did, but I'll probably just pop by the Old Navy down at U-Village and pick up more. It's not a crisis anymore, it's just something I should be doing - I've got a lot of old pairs that really ought to just be tossed.
I know! I was really relieved. XD
