Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] amberdiceless: a meme!

Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal pseudo-canon.

Why? Because I'm effectively useless here since it's my first day. But, hey... I've watched some processes, learned a bit, done paperwork... Yeah, it's a 'first day' kind of day. ;)

I think I've asked everyone I've seen do this about Lennier, and I've been 'hunh'ing at how the answers line up to mine.

Of course, I write out most of my personal pseudo-canon in one way or another...

I'd be interested to see what others have said! Also, I apologize - I seem to've taken down my Lennier icon, so Delenn will have to do. ;)

Lennier:
...Always regretted not being able to see Vir step up as the Centauri ambassador.
...Blamed himself for Marcus' death.
...After his introduction to it via Garibaldi, spent the next few years on B5 studying Human culture and history. He stopped the day he realized that Delenn was in love with Sheridan.
... ...Except he did double-check our physiology to make sure we don't have tentacles or some similarly disturbing genital structure.
...Wasn't actually secretly from a warrior clan or a separatist clan or anything like that - just the plain old religious caste. And he really wasn't all that fabulous with a dennbok, anyway.
...Never once doubted that Delenn did the right thing when she ordered the war against Humanity, if only because he couldn't imagine doing any less if someone hurt her.
...Had literally never been in love before he met Delenn, and never fell in love with anyone else.

Whoops. In that first one, I realize that I actually meant emperor, then got distracted when I tried to correct myself after realizing that technically Lennier was dead at that point.

Since I don't actually believe he died in the Telepath War, I'll go back to my initial assertion. ;)

That tentacle thing cracked me up. I would have done the same.

Poor boy. He was probably in a total panic once the theought occurred to him...

Oh, Zoe. I'm glad you're predictable - I haven't had a good excuse to play in her head for a long time! ♥

Zoe:
...Really isn't half as terrible a cook as she's convinced the crew she is. She'd just rather not do it.
...Decided the day she met him that Malcolm Reynolds needed somebody with an ounce of sense keeping an eye on him or he'd be dead inside a week. She was right.
...Had a number of flirtations and affairs with people of both sexes before and during the war.
...Will never tell Mal how much Simon reminds her of him when they were younger.
...Didn't hate Serenity nearly as much as she pretended she did. She was just wanted to push down Mal's hopes a bit before he disappointed himself.

Oh, the toughest to figure out of all the characters I love...

Delenn:
...Decided John Sheridan was part of the prophecy pretty much the minute she saw him. If he hadn't fit, I wonder if she wouldn't have written something.
...Actually built quite an interesting and deep friendship with Susan over the years, which JMS just never bothered to show.
...Never really bought that whole "the government tells us exactly and all that we need to know" thing. She just hid it better until she was among humans.
...Always missed both Dukhat and Lennier.
...Was the real reason that David was rescued from the Shadows, as well as the power behind pretty much everything that ever happened in the Alliance. ;)

I think she would have written her own prophecy for him, yes. Heee.

And ITA, Susan and Delenn were the only women in their circle there at B5; of course they were bonding when we couldn't see it.

At first, I felt sort of upset by how quickly their relationship seemed to develop (esp. from her side), but... yeah. Delenn's just single-minded like that, I think. Once she gets something into her head, it's only a matter of time before it happens.

Yes, yes, and yes. It just annoyed the heck out of me that we didn't actually see it, except in that one godawfully-stupid scene in the early 2nd season. Hair. Please. As though these women have nothing better to talk about!

Oh, this is going to be fun. I'm just starting to get my ideas about him figured out, too....

The Doctor
...Occasionally feels guilty when he realizes how 'easy' he finds it to kill. But what he really feels guilty about is how easily he gets past that feeling.
...Sometimes thinks he's a living bad-luck charm.
...Loves to dance, damn it, even though he's been told in a thousand separate instances that he's not all that good.
...Gets so bored when he's alone that everything just spills out with joy and eagerness when he actually has someone to talk to.
...Wasn't really all that important, when there were more Time Lords than just him.
...Genuinely can't decide whether what he feels for Rose is fraternal or romantic love, or something unique and in between.
...Wouldn't make a move even if he were sure he was in love with her, because he's too desperate not to be alone again if it didn't work.

Narcissa!

Also, I love that you are into Dr. Who now. I am not so far into it but I've been watching bit by bit this last year, and I love it.

Oooo.

Narcissa:
...Grew up trying to play mediator and diplomat for the family.
...Had a crush on Lucius pretty much from the moment she first met him, and still loves him deeply (even though she often thinks he's a bit of a twit).
...Worshiped the ground Bellatrix walked on when she was a child. She's grown out of it, but the disappointment and bitterness between them still hurts her.
...Was friends with Snape in school, initially on the principle that anyone that bitter and intelligent would probably turn out to be useful. Later she came to like him for himself, though she'd probably never admit it.
...Had a miscarriage before Draco - that's part of why she's so terribly protective of him.

Yay! I must now be very careful not to spoil you, then! I'm used to assuming that everyone is farther along in the series than I am. ;)

Lots of fun!

Tony:
...Really does miss letting Henry figure everything out for him. Especially with all the crap the wizard thing brings down on his head.
...Has pretty effectively placed Vicky in the mental position of his mother. His real mother kicked him out of the house (and kicked the shit out of him) the day she found out he was gay. Vicky never cared. He figures he's better off.
...Hates spider solitaire.

Drusilla:
...Was given her visions in order to assist a young slayer who lived in Cardiff, born a few years after her. The girl was killed by a random vampire a year after Dru was turned. If Dru had been human, she would have survived to defeat an impressive number of demons.
...Can see her reflection in a mirror. Sometimes her face is rotting and bursting with maggots, though.
...Loves fire. As well as pretty much everything else that hurts her.
...As established earlier this evening, desperately wishes to go sunbathing at the beach.

And, lastly, I don't really know Doctor Who's Jack well enough, so I guess it's all about Pirate!Jack.

Jack:
...Doesn't actually mind all that much that most of his friends have tried to kill him. It means they're paying attention to him.
...Despite his jokes about dresses and such, really has a lot of respect for Elizabeth. She's terrifying.
...Is actually a rather terrible lover, but charming enough to get away with it and be adored anyway.

Oh, that's a tough one! Forgive me if I don't do this justice - I never feel quite 'on' about G'Kar.

G'Kar:
...Can't remember the day he stopped hating Londo, but often thinks life was a lot easier back then.
...Is sometimes tempted to burn the whole 'Book of G'Kar,' purely on the principle that he's sick of seeing people misinterpret it. He doesn't want to become one of those prophets whose supposed followers end up doing things that are directly against their teachings, but he can't think of any other way to prevent it.
...Is rather grateful, given his later notoriety, that he never got around to have children.
...Secretly wrote a novel later in life. And then hid it, out of fear his followers would take it as some sort of bizarre second testament.

and say Wash.
Glad your first day was semi-uneventful.
