1. What item would you be embarrassed for people to know you own?
I actually own a Celine Dion CD. I bought it long ago, probably in late middle school, and I just... okay, to be honest, I'm too embarrassed to take it to one of the used CD places to sell it.
2. What is something you splurged on just for you?
My satin dressing gown. It's sky blue with peacocks, maple leaves, and flowers all over it, and I adore it. So much happier getting dressed in that than I was in my huge, ugly teal terrycloth robe that I had before.
3. What is something that you own with no real world value that is priceless to you?
Lots of things, probably... All I can think of right now is my brass desk lamp. Everybody who saw "The Brave Little Toaster" a zillion times when they were a kid (like I did) would immediately recognize this lamp as Lampy. When my grandparents sold their beach cabin they gave it to me - I must've been something like seven or eight. Kind of at the top of my mind right now 'cause the wiring is starting to go bad and not work unless I kink the 'neck' just right. :(
4. Do you collect anything?
Not very actively (as in I don't buy very often), but I have collections of antique postcards, coins, and old books.
5. What item belonging to a friend/family member do you covet?
Off the top of my head, I can't actually think of anything. The best stuff in the family came from my great-aunt, who donated almost all of it to the Seattle Art Museum. So... at least I can go visit it sometimes, I guess. *sighs* Not like I really need to cart antique Chinese furniture around, but...

Also. Rereading Good Omens right now, and I found this quote:

"Brilliant blue light shone out, outlining three alien shapes. They walked down the ramp. At least, two of them walked. The one that looked like a pepper pot just skidded down it, and fell over at the bottom."

Thank you, Pratchett and Gaiman. Thank you. ♥

I've had it about a year, now, but it didn't get a whole lot of use at the old house because of how cold my room was. Now that I'm doing the apartment thing I get to wear it all the time. *g*
