This is just me, linking to wank about people who can't cope with human bodies.

I'm not at all using this post as a convenient way to bookmark the link to said wank in hopes of digging through it later and hopefully finding that damnably so-far-seemingly-legendary picture of Eccleston. Nope. Not in the slightest...

Although if anybody should happen to see it in there and drop me a direct link, I'd be eternally grateful, given that my internet access is still spotty at best. Fic, chocolate... all applicable forms of bribery are in the offing.

Okay, I understand thinking that genitalia look weird, because they do - but so do a hell of a lot of other body parts, and we accept them no problem. We just don't have enough opportunity to see these particular parts, which is sad.

But calling them gross and getting rid of them? Uh.

And then the people who were all "ZOMG EWW" at pubic hair and large areolas? WTF.

Genitalia do look weird. So do elbows. And noses. And tongues. And ears. And feet - feet always confuse me. (If I look at them very hard, I get this bizarre feeling that there's no way in hell we ought to be able to walk.)

The human body is weird. Fact of life. I am eternally boggled by people who are disgusted by it. Particularly, as you said, the stupid little details like pubic hair and large areolas. Especially the latter. I mean... seriously, people.

...On the other hand, I will admit to finding outie belly buttons vaguely terrifying, in the sense that I know when I get bumped on the belly-button, it feels horribly weird and uncomfortable, and it freaks me out to think that outie-buttons would naturally feel more strongly on this count. But it's not like I go around saying they're disgusting, or that if I had one I'd cut it off. o_O
