lunar eclipse

There's a full lunar eclipse tonight, peaking between 7 and 7:52 PST tonight, and for once it looks like it might be clear enough that we'll see it in Seattle.

I'll be trying to sneak a glimpse while going to my discussion group... I'm hoping it'll be visible above the trees out in Wedgewood. ♥ I haven't seen one since the Blood Moon several years ago, and that was way too amazing for me not to give it my best go at seeing this one. It's not supposed to be quite as spectacular, I don't think, but... still, definitely worth checking out if you have the opportunity. ;)

Oh, I'm sorry! You guys have even worse cloud luck than we do, from what I've heard. *sad* The teeeeeeeny bit of sky that I can see through the blinds on the office windows looks totally clear, so I can't wait to leave the office and look!

Yeah, we do :( I spent a good chunk of time living in Victoria and Port Angeles, and Monterey wins, if you can call it winning [g] It's the fog. Though today, it's rain.

Enjoy it extra for me!! I love eclipses and meteor showers.

Hehe. I'm on Eastern time, and it's clear. It just started and it's GORGEOUS--it looks like someone tore a chunk out of the moon.

We were overcast all day, so I was worried I wouldn't be able to see it. Thank goodness it's cleared up, and I have a perfect view from my patio.

ETA: Of course, right after I posted that, the clouds came back. Le sigh....

Of course it did. Weather likes to do things like that, especially for coastal climates, it seems. :P
