I'm sorry, but... like there aren't enough wacky cryptozoology 'theories' floating around the world, we now have to make new ones? Out of optical illusions, bugs, and/or dustmotes?

Seriously, i could have gone my whole life without someone actually trying to point one of these things out on a clip from Doctor Who. Because... um. No. Just no. Little random light-bit reflected in a window on a TV show? =/= Alien. Or even anything interesting. Or, for that matter, even interesting enough to spend a minute of my time attempting to debunk. There's a thingy in the picture! I didn't see anything with my own eyes, so the thingy in the picture must be a ghost/alien/demon/EVIL THING OUT TO SUCK MY BRAINS.

Because if you can't see it, it must be real.

For the record, I am going to assume that everybody I have so far seen refer to this thing is just a) kidding or b) having fun with a good game of "poke the nutjob." But, honestly... what. Also, epic fail by the History Channel in doing a documentary on this shit. Go back to endless Hitler rehashing, guys, 'cause this? Is just lame.

They did a whole episode on so-called "flying rods" on Monster Quest. First time I'd ever heard of the things, and the magnitude of stupidity it takes to believe in them just astonished me. They're BUGS, people! Or light refracting off dust motes! Get a goddamned GRIP!

But... obviously if they can't recognize it automatically, it must be ALIENS! :P

Oh, people. I wish I could believe humans in general weren't really that stupid.

That's... actually kind of interesting, from a quantum dimension point of view. Batshit crazy, of course, if somebody thinks they've actually seen things like that. But the theoretical possibility of actual physical sentient animated things existing beyond our limited perception is kind of awesome.

I seek asylum in my philosophy degree!

The concept is really interesting, yeah... it's the supposed "evidence" that makes me wonder what the hell the Human race is coming to. :P

I'd be thrilled if we actually found alien life of any kind, and I get excited beyond belief at the discovery of new species, so I'd love if we found something new and mysterious. I just get angry when people put up totally boring, stupid ideas on this kind of thing. It's no fair getting my little heart excited just to dash it with crappy evidence!
