in which Big Finish taunts me

Y'know, I was all ready to ignore the upcoming Big Finish "Key to Time" rehash with Peter Davison. I really was. I mean, I love Peter Davison and all, and Big Finish audios are often entertaining, but... they are also often cracktastic in ways that I don't entirely appreciate. Also, despite my love for Four and Romana, the Key to Time arc was overall not at all one of my favorite pieces of that era of old Who. The idea of redoing it has a lot of potential... but is also dubious.

Then they have to go and announce that Lalla Ward will be guest starring.

Naturally, I will now have to listen avidly to the whole thing so as to be sure that I do not miss her. Damn them and their cunning plans! When I said that I wanted Lalla to guest star, I meant with the show - the one that's actually canon! The one that would involve watching David Tennant go totally wobbly over his adolescent crush! As with the amazing Dawkins-cameo of the end of S4, they are taunting me. So close, and yet... *Sigh*

All I have to say is that they'd better have her as Romana, and not some stupid Astra or... Pandora plot-device or something. Because... More Romana would be awesome, even if it is just audio. ♥

No Tennant, just Davison. I forget where the original announcement about the audio was, but the thing about Lalla is here (http://0tralala.blogspot.com/2008/08/yeah-but-dogs-from-space.html) apparently (I just got the link from a trustworthy f-list link, haven't actually read the blog being linked here.

My favorite SJ stories came from Big Finish...
And we're just starting to watch the Key to Time Series (Watched part one last night.)

I've only heard a few of their Eighth Doctor audios so far, but I've liked them. They're kind of cracktastic, but amusing.

I'll try! I have no idea when they're coming out, but I'm hoping I'll hear through the internet grapevine. Supposedly Big Finish is selling their audios online now... I hope that counts for the new-release ones as well as the old stuff, otherwise I might have a Very Long Wait Indeed before I can get hold of these. :P

I haven't heard any of those but we fully intend to listen to a lot of these on our way to and back from Disney World this trip - with a 13 hr trip each way that gives us lots and lots of time.
