Just in case it ever occurs to anyone on my f-list to make the same stupid mistake that I've recently done, I just thought I'd put this piece of wisdom out there. If you have troubled skin - if, for instance, your skin always seems on the verge of breaking out, it is important to note:

Getting your eyebrows and upper lip waxed? Is a really bad idea.

Everything looked fine the day after... Ever since then, though, it's been a total nightmare. *Sigh* I just want my regular slightly-iffy skin back, drat it...

Or when you're going to have your picture taken and you have that one zit and decide to put toothpaste on it in a last ditch attempt to make it go away... yeah. I feel your pain.

Yeah, exactly. There's always that one little thing that you think you can fix... and then it backfires horribly. :P

Ok here's what you do - worked for me, and is totally safe.
Go online to a website that sells herbal stuff. (I use puritans pride). Look up Biotin (vit b7). Get a megadose (5000%RDA or similar)
http://www.puritan.com/b-vitamins-108/super-biotin-5000-mcg-capsules-013430
for instance.
take one a day.

it does work. Brilliant for lenght of hair (though not thinning) and nails and skin.

Hmm. I admit I'm a bit leery of that sort of thing (not saying it doesn't work for you, but with any skin treatment I've noticed that results are extremely variable by person), but I'll do a bit of research into it if it comes up again. For this time, I've just been going through my usual routine consistently, and everything's finally now settling back into status quo. Best not to mess with it again once it hits that, I figure!
