Seattle friends, particularly the original Halflings (tm) may remember the story of Neil Scary Trousers Gaiman - and now everyone can appreciate the full story, from the lips of the man himself. Here it is on Google video.

And as a related treat, since seeing him tell this reminded me of it, check out Nice Hair, the webcomic adventures of Neil, Tim, Fat Bob, and other amusing characters who of course bear no relationship to any real people. Especially not real authors who once castigated the author of the webcomic for not updating enough. (She really doesn't. It hasn't been updated in years. Alas.)
