He's gone. He died this morning, peacefully, without waking up.

I'm home now, my cat is mildly disgruntled at how I got his fur wet a few minutes ago, and as soon as The Boy gets home it looks like we'll turn around and go back out to their place to join the throng there again.

It feels very strange.
