Date: 2010-06-09 05:20 am (UTC)1. The first character I fell in love with: Ivanova. Thanks to descriptions from friends, I was practically in love with her before I saw the series.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sheridan. I disliked him at the beginning of S2, but over time, and through writing from his POV, he grew on me, the silly puppy.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Honestly? Lyta. I just don't get it. She's tragic and all, and I feel very sorry for her in parts, but for the most part... meh.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Oh, that would have to be Lennier. He's far from universally hated in B5 fandom, but there's certainly a group that hates him, and I just can't get on with that. Poor darling.
5. The character I would shag anytime: Ivanova again. I'd worry I was doomed to die straight after, but it'd probably be worth it. ♥ Delenn and Marcus are both close seconds.
6. The character I'd want to be like: Delenn. The way she controls situations, the way she sweetly manipulates the universe into doing her bidding, her ultimate confidence in her place in fate and history and in her faith... yeah, I would totally want to be like that.
7. The character I'd slap: Byron. And I'd do more than slap him, if I could.
8. A pairing that I love: Just one is hard in a fandom this big. It's a tie between Lennier/Delenn and Marcus/Susan.
9. A pairing that I despise: ...Does "anybody/Byron" count? Or perhaps "Vorlon/anyone?"
10. Favorite character: I guess it has to be Delenn.
11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom. The characters, the over-arching plot, the moments when the speeches are just what they need to be, and the beautiful way that no character is exactly what they seem in the beginning.
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. Honestly, B5 fandom has been one of the friendliest and best that I've ever been in, so I feel like I can hardly answer this. But I suppose my least favorite things about it are that I missed all the good times, when the show was actually running, so I'm always left feeling like a late arrival at a party where all the cool guests have already left and all the fun games have already been played, and everyone's just sitting around reminiscing about the fun they had earlier in the night. Also, I feel like in some quarters there's a little too much emphasis on 'what JMS meant.' Which... dude, I know he was good enough to talk on Usenet and all, but, really? If he couldn't get it across in the show, I consider it Not An Issue, in most cases (and in some of his quotes on the Lurker's Guide he sounds like a bit of a prat, anyway).
13. Who are my five favorite characters. Ivanova, Delenn, Lennier, G'Kar, and Londo.
14. Who are my five least favorite characters. Byron, Lyta, Talia, Zack, and, alas, Garibaldi. I feel guilty about the last, but the episodes that focus on him always end up putting me to sleep.
15. What are my five favorite pairings. Marcus/Susan, Lennier-->Delenn/Sheridan (you can't have one side without the other, as far as I'm concerned), Dukhat/Delenn (if I could find fic for that, I'd be thrilled), and... Susan/Delenn. I've never gone looking, but I it could be fantastic. G'Kar/Londo is all right there, in the series.
16. What are my five least favorite pairings. Anything with Byron, anything with Vorlons (they're just kind of creepy), and... honestly, anything with any of my least favorite characters.
17. Which character are you most like. In reality, probably third Human on the left. I'm probably more Delenn than anyone else, out of the main crew, though.
18. What is my deep, dark fandom secret. I have a thing for the Minbari. I'd be happy if the show had a whole lot more of them, and a whole lot less of everybody else. I have this awful feeling it will one day drive me to write some kind of insane "anthropologist on Minbar" fic for which I will be immediately cast out of the fandom.

(I am of the opinion that it should include the anthropologist's observation that Minbari religion is sometimes interestingly like various Earth religions -- courtesy of Valen, although they wouldn't know why -- but I could always write my own insane fic about that. :D)

8. A pairing that I love: Y'know, I'm not actually that into pairings in this show? But I confess a dirty love for Uther/Morgana. And of course I adore Arthur/Gwen(/Lancelot), and Arthur/Merlin and their spoony silliness.
9. A pairing that I despise: Er... anybody/Lady Vivian?
10. Favorite character: Ohhhhh, hard to pick. Probably Arthur. Or his daddy.
