I love the fall. I took a walk during lunch, and it was lovely. There were yellow and red leaves falling, the wind kept kicking up and making my trench coat billow, and I got a pumpkin spice latte, and I have a tasty apple, and... yes. My favorite season. ♥

We're back up in the 80s. It is to fail. I made some hot spiced apple cider when I got home, anyway. Screw you, unseasonal warmth.

I love it too, for all the same reasons. Granted, I took my walk in Bellevue, so not as many trees, but the view from my window at home is perfect for baroque chamber music and cup of pumpkin spice. Mmm, mm!

That sounds like a really good idea for when I get home... unfortunately, I seem to have lost my copy of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons," and I'm short on anything classical.

Any recommendations for good baroque chamber music?

I always likes me some Bach, although it tends to be solo instrument stuff like the Goldberg Variations and the Orgelwerke (fugues ftw!). And while Haydn is supposed to be the 'Father of the String Quartet' I could not point you toward specific works. For chamber music, I would say go to Mozart, any of the piano trios, the string quartets, the.... Dear lord, the man was prolific. For the best of both worlds, you might check out Mozart's Haydn quartets. (:

I'm a huge Mozart fan, so any of his divertamentos, I think. Also, Handel's Water Music. I have to play it at least once when the seasons change, ahah. I like Rameau too, especially the harpsichord pieces. I think Albioni has a really pretty adagio, but I don't remember what it's called T__T...

I'm sorry I'm not more helpful with specifics-- I have trouble enough with music with actual names, let alone No. 14 K. 387 in G Minor or something like that. If all else fails, Pandora has a Chamber Music station, though I find that they start playing soundtracks a lot... but it's pretty regardless. Yay, autumn! :)

I'm a summer girl, but I can enjoy fall too. I ordered a bunch of fresh chestnuts the other day, can't wait for them to arrive. If I could get them year-round, chestnuts would be a food group of mine.
