Can one do fanfic for NaNoWriMo? Because I think that's the only way I'd get it done.

One certainly can. That's what I did last year, actually. Big ole Hellboy fic that'd been following me around for months.

They've actually got a Script Frenzy thing, too - I don't know the details of that, but it might be up your alley.
