rivendellrose: (today sucks)

I know it's Friday, and I know it's 2pm, but can the week be over now? Seriously? Can we just be done and have a weekend and have everything stop existing on the scale of mild suck?

I'm tired. I would like to go home and do useless things, and maybe work on the baby blanket I'm crocheting for my cousin, and poke more at the fic I'm trying to write. If I really get excited, I could try to figure out how we can have a Christmas tree with our three obnoxious fuzzballs and their tendency to create disaster. Really, that's all I want to do. I'm tired of the rest of it.

This would probably violate your lease, but have you considered boring one of those big metal hooks, the name of which I cannot think of but which I've used to hang a hammock between two trees, into the wall, then anchoring the tree to the wall with bungee cords? Granted, this doesn't mean the cats won't knock the ornaments off individually, but it would keep them from knocking the whole tree over.

(Then you could take pictures and submit them to There, I Fixed It!)

Hehehehe. Not a bad idea! I'm fine with getting non-breakable ornaments (wood, cloth, etc), but the favorite place in the apartment of two of our three cats is up on top of the cabinets in the kitchen, as high as they can possibly get on any of our stuff.

Of course, there's also my cat's tendency to chew cords to consider. *headdesk* Might make beautiful Christmas lights a little bit of a bad idea.

In other news, I received my Syzygy magazine today and sat right down where I was to read your offering.

Kelsey, yup! I'm sorry, I totally thought I'd told you when I found out a few months ago. She's due in May. And utterly miserable right now, poor thing - apparently she's going through the bit where your whole body aches because tendons are loosening.

Awwww, thank you!

Poor thing. I honestly had a wonderful pregnancy, didn't have any of that bad stuff some women have to go through, just a small amount of pain when your muscles are stretching in the beginning.
