Hey, if you don't like the idea of Sarah Palin's Twitter currently being the 5th top-ranked Twitter feed to follow on a TIME magazine poll, go hit up some other awesome people and organizations. So far Neil Gaiman's still at #1, which is fine, but deserving people like Neil deGrasse Tyson (awesome astronomer) and important orgs like, I dunno, the National Science Foundation and medical journal The Lancet are running waaaaaaaay in the bottom of the stakes. Come on, people - we can totally do better than that. Go vote for Margaret Atwood, or Nancy Pelosi, or Stephen Colbert, or Felicia Day, or Wil Wheaton...
Really, anybody except Sarah Palin. :P

Date: 2011-03-30 02:00 am (UTC)I'm still not a fan of the whole concept of twitter in general. I despise small-talk and all things that resemble it. Does the whole world really need to act like we're all chatting in a bar?

Date: 2011-03-30 02:08 am (UTC)But yeah. Twitter's a fairly odd concept, and I mostly use it because my friends do. On the other hand, keeping a poll like this from naming Sarah Palin one of the top people to listen to in my country? Screw it, I'm all over that shit. I don't care who comes top as long as it isn't her or Newt Gingrich.
