whee, drawing

Yesterday, The Boy and I went to the art store to pick up some stuff, and I said to him "I need to draw again. I always feel like I should use my free time to write, but I miss drawing."

And then I came home and, after getting in my few hours of writing work, settled in and went absolutely insane. You all know what happens when I draw - something fannish, of course!

Character: Delenn (pre-series)
Medium: Mechanical pencil on bristol board, followed by Photoshop & Wacom tablet and some convenient stock photo and texture work (I knew that picture of the giant freaking ginko tree in Tokyo would come in handy some day...)
Notes: For (and all the fault of) hearts_blood, who gave me the idea in some stuff we were tossing around for the Neroon&Delenn AU of Doom yesterday.

And hearts_blood has a few entries up already - I'm being slooooooow about my bits, and so far haven't finished anything that stands well on its own.

The bits that actually set up what the heck we're doing are "Creating Possibility" (http://hearts-blood.livejournal.com/211023.html), and "Keeping Watch in the Night" (http://hearts-blood.livejournal.com/210583.html), which is actually Neroon/Delenn. There's some Delenn/Dukhat that is in the same AU here (http://hearts-blood.livejournal.com/211898.html), and a pre-series bit with Neroon and Branmer here (http://hearts-blood.livejournal.com/213292.html).

...And I obviously need to get cracking on finishing up some of my bits of this thing. Lol.

Completely off-topic, but you seem the person to ask: Has there ever been such thing as a Doctor Who book? Or a series of books? It seems like there ought to be one. Thanks for any info! :)

There's some novelizations (although I can't really recommend most of them... the majority are fairly "meh," up to downright "eugh" at times. Hit or miss. The best, from what I've seen, have been the Eighth Doctor novelizations, because they weren't meant as just extra material, but rather the general continuation of the series at that time.

There's also a graphic novel series that I think has been going ever since... early Tenth Doctor? I haven't been following it very closely, I've heard good things.

*Squeeee* Yay, I'm glad you like! ♥ I had waaaaaaay the hell too much fun with this one. The general pose is based (very loosely) off a painting by Alphonse Mucha, but there was a lot of alteration there that had me banging my head late last night. ;)
