It's neither what I expected (not that I had super specific expectations) nor exactly what my previous fave Star Trek shows were like, but it's definitely Star Trek to me and Michael is a wonderful Starfleet hero(ine). I'm having "why is the next episode not out yet" feels which can only be a good sign.)
Also, mark my words, that non-reproducing Chekov's Tribble of Lorca's will go off at a pivotal moment...

I agree that it's not what I expected or that it's exactly like any of the other shows, or even that I necessarily love all their choices, but it's Star Trek and I am so happy to have new Star Trek again. ♥ And Michael is wonderful, I totally love her.
And yessssss, I 100% agree with you about Lorca's tribble. It will be back, at the moment when it can cause the most possible choas.
