I would like to formally apologize to everyone who is currently dealing with my DISCO feels, most of all gaslightgallows and nenya_kanadka. They've taken a lot of yelling and flailing and freaking out in the last few days.

I'm pretty sure I'll be better in, like, two weeks. Give me at least a full week to recover from the finale, though. ...Maybe more.

I just, I have a lot of feelings right now. And most of them are "OH GOD THIS IS GOING TO DRIVE ME INSANE." I haven't had a new fandom in a while, and I haven't had a new Star Trek in a very long time. XD

(I hate that DW's user tags are different from LJ. It screws me up EVERY TIME.)

No, no, no THANK YOU for also having INSANE LEVELS OF DISCO FEELS. I swear to fuck, if I were the only one hereabouts who was absolutely losing it right now, I don't know what I'd do. 😂 You and kore are pretty much keeping the top of my head from blowing off.

The one I really want to apologize to is poor muccamukk, who hasn't even seen the show yet but has to deal with me muttering "oh my GOD" and "WHAT THE FUCK" at random moments, and clinging to the cat because I CAN'T EVEN.

I might be okay by, like, April. Depending on WHAT HAPPENS next week.

And I feel for you - The Boy is watching the show with me and enjoying it and all, and he'll, like, look up what people are saying about it on reddit and all, but he is not a fannish person in general, so he doesn't understand my need to flail and freak out and, y'know, spend days worrying about whether or not poor Ash will come out okay. Or how exactly we end up with a naked Georgiou menacing someone with a gun.

At least you'll get to rewatch the show, probably, when/if muccamukk decides to see it! Rewatches are another thing The Boy does not grasp or enjoy, and we mostly watch TV together, so I've only seen "Madness to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad" twice, rather than seeing the whole damned thing twice and that one, like, twelve times, as I might otherwise have done. XD

If anything, I consider it a just and fair trade-off for all of the MCU and very belated Crimson Peak flailing I've been doing in your direction for the last four months. ♥

Okay, as long as I'm not being too annoying. ...Which isn't to say I'd be able to control it, but I might at least feel bad or something. The Boy does not understand this kind of flail. He likes the show and all, he's just not... fannish.

It's funny how that works, isn't it? Just--flailing is IMPORTANT. It's part of the process!

Flailing madly is an important and necessary fandom requirement! Otherwise all those emotions get bottled up and then come spilling out in really unhealthy ways (like painting pictures of the aliens you think you're... never mind).
