b5 fandom question

Hey folks, I just found out (probably very belatedly, knowing me) that John Hightower's Jumpnow.de has disappeared / gone private, and taken its extremely useful Adronato glossary with it. I can probably muddle through on my own records / memory as much as I'm currently writing B5 fic, but someone over on Ao3 asked whether I knew of any mirrors, copies, or alternatives that might be available... and I admit that I'd love to just have a record of it all for nostalgia's sake, if it's out there.

Any ideas?

Consensus on the B5 discord is that you can find some of it via the Wayback Machine, but that mostly it's gone.

Have not, yet, found anyone who has a copy.

Yeah, gaslightgallows pointed out the Wayback Machine as well (I was apparently very tired last night, not thinking of that!), and we're going to copy down as much as we can from there for future reference at least for ourselves. Sounds like ruuger might have a line to ask the site owner whether they would be willing to put it up on Fanlore or someplace similar, which would be great!

I have the email for asherific, who owned the domain, so I could ask them if it would be possible to get the dictionary hosted elsewhere (Fanlore, for example).

I know I personally would be up for helping to upload or copy stuff to Fanlore or another long-term location, if they need assistance, and I'm sure we could round up some other B5 fans who'd be willing to help if need be.

Sure, I'll email them tomorrow and let you know if I get a reply. It's been a while since I've had any contact with them - about ten years, probably - but it's a gmail address so with luck they might still use it :D

(and if they don't, I may have some other means of contacting them or the other people who ran Jumpy that I could try - I used to be a regular at the Jumpy Forums so I knew that crowd pretty well)

Thank you so much! ♥ It'd just be so damned tragic if a resource like this was lost to the fandom, especially since new viewers are still finding the show.

I've started copying down everything I can from the Wayback archived pages into a spreadsheet, which should hopefully expedite the process of getting things into Fanlore or wherever is approved by the owner, if that happens.

Status update: I emailed her and got a reply, but unfortunately she didn't have the files - she did promise to have a look around her old CDs in case she found something, though. I also got the last known email of the other mods who ran the place (and was apparently the one who pulled the plug) so I'll try her next.
