So, I tried to update last night when I got home from the fair-thing, but I hit a button I shouldn't have and LJ ate my entry... and I was too tired to rewrite it. So here's my attempt at recapping.

Last night we all went to 'Operation Husky Stadium,' the annual fair here on campus. It was pretty fun - we ate a lot of junk food and got free henna, and went through a huge inflatable obstacle course. [livejournal.com profile] zinjadu expanded on my anti-war whining and decided that her and I should move to England when we finish with school, and drag [livejournal.com profile] theladyfeylene with us so we could all share a flat together and reenact a death-free, happy-ending, ex-patriate version of RENT, in which she would be the bitter indie-filmmaker, Fey would be the philosopher/writer, and I would... try to find some sort of job that somehow made sense for me. It was a lovely vision, though I'm not sure how we came to it, and I may or may not have dreamed about it... the memories are really vague.

After the fair, we walked to Blockbuster to rent Finding Nemo, then Terra and I walked back to the fair to find her ID card and keys, which had been lost. We found Sean and Meggie, and they helped us find the keys, then we all came back and watched the movie.

Today, I am doing laundry... and I hope to clean my desk and all that, as well as writing my Scandinavian mythology paper. Then tonight, Chinese food and Shrek 2! Hopefully they don't over-pepper my egg-drop soup this time... that was really sad.

England ho! ;-)

No, seriously, that's a very nice vision. We could all hang out in the poet's corner and drink cheap wine. I could hawk my philosophy on a streetcorner in between writing. Mmmm...philosophy....

Exactly! It'd be perfect - we're all such natural ex-patriate artistes. Cheap wine, bread, cheese, philosophy, and writing. Sounds like the good life to me.

You'd be the artist! That sounds absolutely perfect.

Only if being in England magically made me a hell of a lot better than I am, sadly. I have an amazing skill at being mediocre at a lot of things, and really good at pretty much nothing.

Jen...I've seen your art. You're not mediocre. You draw damn well.

*Blush* Thank you. I need more practice, but it means a lot to have you say that.

That is SOOOO very NOT true!!!!!!
I really wish you wouldn't think that, you are so very hard on yourself, and very unfairly. You are so talented in so many ways!
Have a wonderful time tonight, and let me know how you like Shrek 2.
*loves*

Thanks for the vote of confidence! And I will indeed be writing a little Shrek review, probably right now! *Hugs*
