We saw Shrek 2 tonight. I was expecting it to be funny, sure, but I wasn't expecting HOW funny. This is truly a wonderful, hilarious movie - better, I think, than the first. The computer animation was worlds better - truly amazing, and the casting was terrific.

I adored Antonio Banderes' character, Puss in Boots. Ohmigod. I loooooooove him. I want to find a plushy of him. And Rupert Everett as Prince Charming - what a perfect part for him. He really got to put on the camp. And the soundtrack was soooooo cool!!!

In short, we all loved it. It was wonderful. And, just like with the first, I think the kids miss out on more than half the movie - and it's so great that they do.

Woot! I'm glad it's good. I kinda wanted to see it but i kept having these visions of the bad sequel to the great original (Beauty and the Beast II, etc.) Now i can go see it with no fear!

Yay! I know, I was a bit freaked out because of the sequel curse, but this one really was wonderful and very much worth both the time and the money, IMHO.
