papers, etc
May. 23rd, 2004 04:42 pmYou know that feeling you get when you hit a certain point in writing a paper and your brain just says "Nope, no more. We're tired. We want a break"? Yeah, I've hit that.
I'm on page four of my Scandinavian mythology paper (due tomorrow, I should point out, because I am a slacker freak) and... my brain just died. I think the tylenol is helping, but I also think I might need to go take a quick walk or something to clear my head. I've got a fair number of notes to go through, still, and I have a good idea of where I'm going, it just seems that I've run into a lot of problems the last hour or so, and now I'm feeling a bit panicky. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have practice for the performance group at 7:30... I hope they're not planning on this going for very long. I will seriously scream if they keep me late and I need to get back and work on the paper still. I went over my lines this morning, though, and they seemed to go fairly well. I'm just so fried right now.
I'm supposed to do a little presentation on my topic for English tomorrow, too. And hand in an extra response paper. Blargh. And then there's the Shakespeare paper...
I'm so toast.
Yeah. Going on a walk. Gonna go walk under trees and let my mind rest for a bit, and maybe ask for a bit of inspiration, too. It certainly can't hurt.

Date: 2004-05-23 05:45 pm (UTC)sure hope it goes quickly.
Wondering what your schedule looks like for tomorrow, I have goodies for you, as per earlier conversations, and I don't know that I'm comfortable mailing fudge if it doesn't NEED
to be mailed (besides, you know I always love
any excuse to see you) If tomorrow doesn't work
perhaps another day would be easier for you.

Date: 2004-05-24 10:04 pm (UTC)I'm sorry tomorrow doesn't work for you, but Wednesday or Thursday would be just fine for me, or even the weekend if that's all that works for you.

Date: 2004-05-24 06:47 pm (UTC)Yeah, Sandy didn't take our suggestion on how to work things out for tomorrow, so we have our regular day, and Sasha and Irene are BOTH off tomorrow. Unless she's got something I don't know about planned, it's not going to be a fun day!
Let me know how the rest of your week looks, or when you think a good time for you will be, OK?
Hope today went ok for you and that you don't
have another awful paper leaning over your shoulder causing you mass stress tonight. *PATS*
