Yay, I got a pretty package from Mom today. She'll be happy to know that the damned diary scared the living daylights out of me when I opened it (it screams). I'm looking forward to having Cora look at it this afternoon... *grins evilly*
I think this is my new favorite quote: "Oh, they're not doomed yet; it must not be the end."
It was really in reference to a story we were critiquing last night at Dragon's Pen, but I think it has much more wide-reaching significance, really. Add that to the image of Charlie and I arguing with new member, Ann, over whether Biology/Genetics or Literature is the more incomprehensible and insane subject, plus Cora and I randomly quoting LotR flash-videos (and Cora announcing to the world "oh, you mean the picture you drew of Ginny and Hermione in their underwear?" and then shouting "UNDERWEAR!" because I complained teasingly that she was humiliating me... which I just realized I made worse by now announcing this story to the internet at large.... nevermind) and you've got a vague idea of what our meetings are like.
General news: visited with Holly yesterday for a few hours, about ready to scream if HFS doesn't let us know if we got in to Stevens' Court soon, and planning to go to the annual "Bucky Ball" with Cora at the end of May. Apparently its a dance hosted by some of the science clubs--the name is an obscure chemistry joke that she explained once, and I laughed, and then totally forgot (because it's science, of course!) Yay! We get to dress up in formals and go to a dance!
I'm going to run off now and pray that most of the Vikings midterm is on the religion stuff--I actually *know* all that. And *not* on the geography which I (as usual) suck royally at. And that I don't forget everything I've learned in the last few weeks of English and spazz totally during *that* midterm.
