I know I have a bunch of knitter friends here, so does anybody have some really great resources (videos, blog posts, whatever) for learning provisional cast-on?

I'd prefer the method that doesn't involve a crochet hook because I seemed to be almost getting that one but not quite catching on well enough to repeat it consistently. But for some reason every video on YouTube is either out of focus, too far away from the hands of the person demonstrating, too fast, or all three.

if you don't mind the stitch offset, you can do JMCO with two circular needles, then knit your project from one side and let the other hang until you need it. I've done it with my interchangeable needles and took the tips off and capped the cord.
