Day 6 - Happiest Event

I didn't really expect to be so uncertain about this, but... wow. That's just a huge question, you know? I'm not sure I can pick just one. So, a few:
- The "I set a star" scene from the first episode of Disco. I can't call this the moment I fell in love with Philippa Georgiou, because as previously established I was in love with her from the minute she was announced, and possibly even before that. But oh my god, I might have welled up at that line.
- Pretty much the entirety of "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang" (DS9). I love that whole damned episode. If I have to pick just one moment, though, it's Sisko and Vic Fontaine singing "The Best is Yet to Come" at the end.
- Okay, this is odd, but: I can't remember what episode it's in, anymore, but there's a scene in ENT where Archer and Shran are drinking Andorian ale in, I believe, Archer's personal dining room. That in and of itself is not monumental, but after disowning the show some twenty minutes into the pilot, I saw this scene in a bubble tea shop near my university while I was in college, with Korean pop music played over it, and two things stuck in my head: "God damn it, of course they would bring the Andorians back NOW, when I'm not watching anymore!" and "This is the slashiest thing I have ever seen in my whole life." When I finally, a decade later, got around to watching ENT and encountered this scene in its native environment, without K-pop playing instead of the dialogue... that impression did not change in the slightest, and I was thrilled. So that whole narrative is one of my favorite events. ♥
- The moment I realized who the Emperor was going to be in Disco's Mirror Universe. I nearly flailed my brains out.

Date: 2019-08-30 02:59 am (UTC)And everything about Emperor Pippa's appearance was equal parts joy and terror tbh. 😍 Still not over it. I think the moment of pure glee for me was probably when I realized Michael was bringing her fucking back to the goddamn Prime universe. I lost my ability to can. Omg. 🤩

Date: 2019-08-30 03:28 am (UTC)Bringing her back was amazing, I totally lost my mind at that. Some people (I'm sure you recall) were all "They're bringing her back just to kill her again!" and I remember feeling like "No... that doesn't feel right..." but I didn't know how it would go, and then BAM, Michael makes the most bizarre and yet totally understandable split-second decision EVER. Would I have been able to leave her to her death? HELL NO, of course not!
